About
The final session of Yayasan MENDAKI‘s Parents’ Guide to Learning with your Child series “Zoomed” in on the topic, “Preparing for the PSLE.” During the one-hour Zoom session, guest speaker Mr Khairi Uda, an award-winning MENDAKI Tuition Scheme (MTS) Tutor, shared many useful tips to empower parents to better support their child during this period.
Yayasan MENDAKI (Council for the Development of Singapore Malay/Muslim Community) is a pioneer Self-Help Group in Singapore that seeks to uplift the Malay/Muslim community’s educational performance and develop its resilience and adaptability.
What we did
We joined in this meeting remotely via Zoom.
Because this was expected to be a very rich one-hour session, we prepared the (digital) canvas in advance with the summary shared by the Client.
To illustrate each of the tips, Mr Khairi shared rich personal insights and his experience with students, so we worked quick to incorporate more ideas into the base we had prepared, as well as capture the subsequent audience Q&A and wrap-up.
A hierarchy of information (differentiated by illustration style) was established between the “15 tips” that consisted Mr Khairi’s sharing, and the Q&A insights. The clear visual hierarchy also allowed us to maximise the canvas space to capture as much as possible while keeping top line ideas easy-to-read and view.
In terms of layout, we designed it such that it would be possible to crop and share each “tip” square as a standalone visual, if so desired.
The final visual output was shared with the Client the same afternoon.
How was the visual output used?
Check out the 15 tips from the session (to quote Mr Khairi, “because it’s 15 August (2020)”), and how Yayasan MENDAKI used the final visual here on social media. Of course, every participant received a digital copy for keeps! 🙂
