FAQ – Rates
Do you take on pro-bono projects?
We are happy to hear more about the project you have in mind. However, to ensure we are able to commit to your dates and for business sustainability, we have to be very selective about low-bono and pro-bono projects (including partnerships and sponsorships).
For projects where we agree to partially or fully sponsor our services, we humbly request at least an honorarium that will defray operation expenses (e.g. travel, materials, software, and other overheads) to keep the collaboration cost-neutral and sustainable.
If you have a solid project you want to open up to amateur/ hobbyist graphic recorders who might appreciate an opportunity for practice and portfolio building, we can help spread the word. Contact us at hello@picturepeopleplan.com.
How do you work with non-profit organisations?
We understand that the term “non-profit organisations” spans a wide spectrum. If your organisation would pay for business services (e.g. catering, utilities, wifi etc.), we ask to be treated the same.
However, we are happy to extend special rates and work out special arrangements (for example, donating part of the proceeds back to your non-profit organisation) on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at hello@picturepeopleplan.com to explore.
We only need you for an hour. Do you have an hourly rate?
Yes, we do offer an hourly rate.
For on-site projects: There will be a base charge for hourly-rated projects. Once a time slot is committed to your project, we will not take on other projects the same day. This is to ensure we would be fully present to support your project needs.
For remote projects : There will be a base charge that covers the first man-hour, and a reduced hourly rate for subsequent hours or part thereof. To ensure that we would be fully present to support your project needs, we will not take on other projects within the same time-block.
Do you have different sized project abilities based on different budgets?
Our service rates are consistent if the required expertise and deliverables are the same. To maintain the standards clients have come to expect from us, we make sure only qualified graphic recorders are deployed, and that you will always receive the original visuals and a high-res digitised copy. If your project requires additional graphic recorders (e.g. for multiple concurrent sessions) or if there are special logistic needs, we recommend setting aside a higher budget. For requests for partnerships and collaboration, please contact hello@picturepeopleplan.com.
Do we have to pay for materials?
We will provide our own drawing materials. Supports and surfaces (e.g. compressed foam boards) are included in our service fees (delivery lead time applies) unless otherwise stated.
If the graphic recorder is expected to work on custom constructions (e.g. system panels, carpentry) or from height, please let us know in advance so that we can work with you to ensure suitability and safety.
Can we provide our own boards and drawing materials for you?
You may. However, we will need to view and/or test these to ensure their suitability for the intended visual output. For the best effect, we can recommend the ideal boards and materials for your procurement.
